She was the host of Disney’s “Car Ready” TV series, where she used only GM vehicles and parts to demonstrate automotive maintenance, safe driving techniques and usage of vehicle components such as brakes, tires, fuses and airbags.

Accident Report:
During a race in Atlanta, GA in 1997, Teri was hit from behind, spun and went headfirst into a wall, tumbling several times. Teri broke her neck, (C-2) in three places and was placed in a halo/upper-body cast. Through much prayer and God’s healing grace, she was totally healed and back driving a pace car just 12 weeks later. In 1998 Teri made a complete comeback, finishing 4th in the Championship.

Teri MacDonald-Cadieux

God had four very important P words: Prayer, Priorities, Patience, & Pride.

I learned the power of prayer. I was totally healed when I should have been dead or at least paralyzed. Proverbs 3:6 “In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths.” Matthew 6:25 “Do not worry, for it will not add a day to your life.” 1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your cares on him for he cares for you,” (more than you know it). 1 Thessalonians 5:17 “Be joyful always, pray continually.”

What is your God? Anything that we focus on, think a lot about, and allow it to consume us, becomes a God. That can be a relationship, a job, the wanting of money, success, or fame. Matthew 22:37 “love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul.” Exodus 20:5 “I am a jealous God.” We need to keep God our #1 priority. Our family 2nd and our jobs, hobbies or friends 3rd.

If we build ourselves up, look out. God will take us down. Proverbs 16:8 “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before the fall.” Proverbs 8:13 “God hates pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.” Matthew 23:12 “Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”

God has a purpose and a plan for everyone, because he created all of us for a certain reason. God will always give us first best, if we are willing to wait on Him. But often times, we settle for 2nd or 3rd best just because we want it now. Patience is one of the hardest lessons to learn. Romans 8:25 “But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.” Ephesians 1:11 “In Him we are also chosen, having been predestined according to his plan, who works out everything with His purpose and will.”

I found that there is an answer for every situation, and you will find it in the Bible. God loves us more than we could ever imagine
