Kevin Joseph

Have you ever considered how magnificent God is? Among other attributes, He is all powerful, all knowing, holy, abounding in love, merciful, just and unchanging. God is greater than anyone can imagine. The Bible explains, “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Furthermore, because we have sinned again a holy God, we are spiritually separated from Him and face eternal alienation. The good news is that “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Unlike us, Jesus Christ lived a life completely free from sin. He died on the cross and rose again to pay our great debt to God. God now asks us to put our faith in Christ, and to acknowledge that His death and resurrection is our only means to forgiveness and a right relationship with our creator.

I made the decision to follow Christ at the age of 14, entering into a personal relationship with Jesus, and the assurance of eternal life in heaven. The peace that God provides is unlike anything this world offers, including success in professional baseball. He promises, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). My baseball career has involved a lot of ups and downs, but through the trials I can rest in knowing, “that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, wh have been called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).

The choice is yours. Will you receive Christ and be saved, or reject Him and remain in your sins? There is no decision more important in life. I chose Christ and can testify that He is loving and faithful to fulfill His promises. If you have not already, I urge you to be reconciled to God, and to find true and everlasting life in Jesus Christ.
