Alvin's LifeStory

Thank You - from PAO.ORG

  • The opportunity to help build Mariners baseball in the Northwest

  • The chance to compete. To leave it all between the lines.

  • The faithful fans. Some of you, we even got to know by name.

  • The home runs you cheered. The strikeouts you forgave.

  • Eight seasons in the best place anybody could live and raise a family.

  • God gave me the gifts to play. And on and off the field, I tried my best to represent Him, the organization, the fans and the game I love.

  • Thank you, Seattle Mariners. And thank you, Seattle Mariner fans.

First In Seattle Mariner Hall Of Fame

PAO.ORG salutes Alvin Davis, honored as the first inductee into the Seattle Mariners Hall of Fame. In honoring the sweet swinging, former first baseman, Seattle Mariners Chairman and CEO John Ellis called Davis 'first class.' "Who better represents the first 20 seasons of Mariners baseball than 'Mr. Mariner,' Alvin Davis. He represented this organization and this region with the utmost dignity."

What's your favorite Alvin Davis Mariner memory? Is it about cheering for one of his 160 Ms round-trippers? The autographs he unselfishly signed? His 1984 Rookie of the Year season? Leave it for Alvin as your congratulations to Mr. Mariner, Number 21, the guy who gave us so many good memories in the early days of the Seattle franchise.

Email, or phone your friends, telling them about PAO.ORG and our tribute to Alvin Davis and his selection into the Mariner Hall of Fame. Lets get Alvin as many memories and thanks from baseball fans as the world wide web can handle.
