In 1994 I had the whole world in my hands, at least that is what people kept telling me. If it was true, why was I so miserable? I was a major league baseball player, an All Star, making big money, and I had a beautiful wife, so what was wrong? Here is what I came to realize: it is impossible to be happy or live a life of meaning apart from a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

I committed my life to Christ in 1994, and it made all the difference. 1Timothy 4:8 says that "physical training is of little value but godliness is profitable for all things, holding promise in this life and the life to come. " The only thing worth your time, treasure and talents is to serve God.

Are you at peace in your life? Are you happy? Are you making an eternal difference in the life of another person? If not, you need to know God through Jesus Christ today! Start living the life God intended you to live and it will make all the difference!

Favorite Bible verse: 2 Corinthians 5:17
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come!"
