Relationships are very important to me and I realize how empty life would be without investing my life in other people. When I was dating Robyn (now my wife) in 1993, she asked me where I stood with the Lord and I realized that I really didn’t stand anywhere.

I got a Bible, read and asked questions of people I knew and were important in my life. That led to my discovery of the biblical truth that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on a cross and rose again as a sacrifice for my sin and that I could receive forgiveness from God and the promise of eternal life. That happened when I realized I could never be good enough in God’s sight to earn heaven and that He provided me a way through Jesus.

"God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life." (1 John 5:11-12).

When I accepted Christ as my Savior, not only did I begin a personal relationship with Him, but everything else took on a deeper meaning. Other relationships became deeper, especially mine and Robyn’s. With Christ at the center of our lives, we are able to grow stronger together as we grow closer to Him. I hope you have a personal relationship with the Lord, it’s the most important thing you will ever do and will change you forever.
