In 1977 after having the Gospel shared with me, I accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of my life. I was told that Jesus died for my sin and the only way I could receive eternal life was by accepting Jesus Christ personally.
God now began to work in my life by the power of the Holy Spirit.
My life took on a new direction and meaning. God reached into every area of my life.
Swimming was a major part of my life for an extended period of years. Over 8 years, I was in Australian swimming teams that competed in America, Europe, New Zealand and Japan.
I enjoyed representing Australia in swimming and in 1984, at the Los Angeles Olympic Games, I competed in two Finals the 100 metres freestyle and the 4X 100 metres relay.
Throughout my swimming career, I always endeavored to set an example for others. I swam to honor God. I lived my life to honor God. I apply the Bible to my life and in 1 Corinthians 10:31 it says, "when you eat or drink or do anything else, always do it to honor God." The main focus of my life is to give glory to God's name.
The Bible is the truth that directs my life. It is my prayer that I might be able to say, like the Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought well. I have finished the race, and I have been faithful."
