Something that means more to me than football...
Good news, friend! God loves you
And He has a plan for your life. His Word (the Bible) says:
"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10)
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
And He Knows You
God created everything, including you. That means He knows you better than anyone. He knows us all so well that He says:
"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
He knows we do a lot of bad things. And those things hurt us, and Him and our relationship with Him.
"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you so that He will not hear." (Isaiah 59:2)
He also says:
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
He Took The First Step
That means that God has done everything necessary to bridge the distance between you and Him. He sent his only Son to die on the cross in your place. By Jesus' sacrifice, you can approach God perfectly forgiven!
"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
"Jesus [said], 'I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6)
"God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God." (2 Corinthians 5:21)
Now It's Your Turn
It's up to you to repent of your sins and accept God's gift of forgiveness by receiving His Son.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
"Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God." (John 1:12)
Why not receive Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord now? You can do it by means of prayer (talking to God):
1. Admit you are lost without Christ.
2. Acknowledge your sin and turn from it.
3. Trust in Jesus' death on the cross as the full and only payment for your sin.
4. Ask Jesus into your life to give you complete forgiveness and to guide you.
